Since I started the new job that keeps Web surfing on lock-down, I don't use the old Random Links sidebar as much as I used to, but I still manage to find some good material from time to time. So, this is where I share with all of you a few of my favorite things (during the work-day).
- alt.text — This Wired column by Lore Sjöberg is probably one of my favorite columns on all of the Internets. It's freakin' hilarious. I often find myself cracking up, out loud while reading it at work (Don't tell anyone I read it at work). Some of my favorite columns include Not Your Mama's Online Assistant, WOW: the Text Adventure, Tune In, Turn On, Veg Out, and his most recent column, Sailing the Sorry Sea of Nausea. I tune in every Wednesday to see what ole Lore has to say, and nine times out of ten, it makes me laugh. I highly recommend this to all of you who appreciate humor. (And, if you're crafty, you can download his columns and listen to the man on your iPod).
- The Walk-Through — This blog, courtesy of The New York Times, is one of my usual diversions during the day. It's on the Times, so the URL shouldn't flag any attention, and I'm in the market for a property (which, as I've been told is for Plutocrats). It's slightly New York centric, but they have lots of nationally applicable information. I like them so much, I even tipped them off about Google Real Estate.
- podstar.runner - I don't have a video iPod, but I do have a PSP, and this is probably the single greatest use of RSS technology to date (and quite possibly for all eternity). It's Homestar Runner. It's syndicated to your computer. It's automagnificantly transferred to your video device. It's freakin' sweet. Get your Strong Bad fix on the bus!
PS. I get the word of the day at work, and I couldn't stop laughing yesterday. I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

alt text...highly amusing....alas, I don't have a PSP....or a video iPod...and my old iPod broke a week after it turned a year old and the warranty ended.....freakin apple....they're so clever.

alt text is funny, dude...but I just caught the latest Ask a Ninja....sorry to say, that podcast knocks alt text outa the water. I mean, come on - nothing's funnier than the idea of ninja midgets (aka. "nindgets", or, as they like to be called "minjas".

I just found a funny internet occurence. Go to Google and type in "failure." Then, use the I'm feeling lucky button. Enjoy.

Ask a ninja is hillarious. I haven't delved as deeply into it as I plan to, but so far so good. Minjas are awesome... but watch out. They are extremely dangerous.
As for "failure" what I think is funny is that when I did a normal google search, an Ebay ad came up that asked me if I was looking for failure, and that I could find it on EBay. That's not good marketing is it?
