I'm a (culture) genius!

Culture IQ 151

I know that you always thought I was smart, but now it's official. Mr. T has certified me as a genius with a culture IQ of 151. I was over at Culture Fool the other day and I decided to match my wits with the formidable BA Baracus (who, by the way, makes a mean cookie jar). Who thinks they can beat my score?

Why in the World Can't I Take Ye Flask?

Thy dungeonman

Behold! I have found the flask, vanquished the dungeon, and proved myself to be... Thy Dungeonman. If you are a fan of Homestar Runner or of good olde fashioned text adventures then you will be psyched to know that the Brothers Chaps have released a brand new game: Thy Dungeon Man 3. I discovered it today while surfing the Web (via) and instantly had to sit down and give it a whirl. It's an update on the previously released pure text game: Thy Dungeonman. This version, however, has Apple II style graphics (for illustrative purposes only), and way more places to go than just North, South, and Dennis. It's a fun game that shouldn't take more than half an hour to complete. Have at it my fellow dungeonmen and dungeonwomen. Will you be able to TAKE YE FLASK?

Stone cold addicted

Fate

Fate is rad. I've been playing it for the last few days. The demo version came pre-installed on my new Dell and I've been hardcore addicted to it. It's like a cross between Baldur's Gate, Diablo, and Animal Crossing... well, not so much like Animal Crossing, but you do get a pet to journey with you into the dungeon. You can pick either a cat or a dog, and during battle you can feed it fish that transform it into any of a number of mythical creatures. Yeah, I know. I'm a big dork, but the game is fun. I even got so hooked on the demo, that I had to buy the full download when I reached level 7 (the demo only lets you progress to level 6). But in other news, I finally beat Mega Man: Battle Network 5 (Colonel Edition) after 90 hours of game-play on my GBA. And, after an 18 month hiatus I fired up Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and finally finished that off as well (I was less than 45 minutes from the end of the game). I know. You're so interested in all of this. But here's something that might jiggle your jublies, two new songs that have me dancing my way to the bus stop:

Carry On, kids. Carry On.

In the holiday spirit

Grow_ornament

Merry Christmas to all... I was just finishing up some odds and ends around the office when I stumbled upon a game sure to get you into the Christmas spirit. It's called Grow Ornament and it's by one of my favorite flash game creators Eye Maze. But anyway, it's just a little something to get you in the mood for Christmas. We have neither a tree nor snow at the moment. So this is as good as it gets. Enjoy!
